When students rise peacefully, society shakes! The Rector of the University of Belgrade, Vladan Đokić, couldn’t be prouder standing shoulder to shoulder with brave students at the protest on Slavija Square. “Nonviolent struggle brings deep change!” he declared, as students, despite pressure, arrests, and false accusations, proved that truth and knowledge always win.
Đokić highlighted three major achievements this academic year: unity that breaks divisions and manipulations, victory of truth over lies, and the restoration of trust in the university as an institution citizens believe in. “We will no longer allow our university to be humiliated!” the rector proclaimed, with the crowd at Slavija echoing his words.
But wait, there’s more! Legendary basketball player and EuroLeague president Dejan Bodiroga joined the protest and delivered a fiery speech. “Calling these young people terrorists is a disgrace!” he said, reminding of the sacrifices and fight for justice throughout Serbia’s history. Bodiroga praised the students as the best patriots Serbia has and declared: “We will play this game together to victory!”
This student movement isn’t just a rebellion – it’s a silent revolution shaking society to its core. While the authorities try to discredit them, students and their allies show that strength lies in peace, knowledge, and truth. If you think this is just another protest, think again.
