Alright, dark teen mystery fans, Netflix has finally dropped the official trailer for the second season of “Wednesday”! Jenna Ortega is back as our favorite dark heroine Wednesday Addams, and things look darker and more intense than ever.
The first season shattered viewing records, and now the sequel is here with Wednesday facing terrifying visions of the death of her close friend and roommate Enid Sinclair, played by Emma Myers. And that’s not all – she’s returning to Nevermore Academy, the place where it all begins and where everything gets complicated.
The school has a new principal, the mysterious Barry Dort, played by Steve Buscemi, and the school is now filled with new characters, including the mysterious Agnes, played by Evie Templeton. Wednesday is obsessed with stopping what she saw, even if it means risking her own life.
Alongside Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones returns as Morticia, with Joy Sunday, Musa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Victor Dorobantu, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, Luyanda Unati Lewisnyawo, Jamie McShane, and Fred Armisen also reprising their roles. The new season also introduces new faces like Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor.
The trailer was released symbolically on a Wednesday, just like both halves of the new season will premiere on Wednesdays – the first part on August 6th, and the second on September 3rd on Netflix. Fans are thrilled and can’t imagine anyone else as Wednesday but Jenna Ortega. The trailer is just mysterious enough to keep us guessing but intriguing enough to have us counting down the days.
So, if you thought the first season was dark and mysterious, get ready for an even bigger dose of suspense and creepy twists. Netflix has once again shown why “Wednesday” is one of their biggest hits. What do you think – will Wednesday save Enid? Or is an even darker fate waiting?
