Next G7 Summit in the French City of Evian les Bains

France will host the next G7 summit in the alpine city of Evian-les-Bains, announced President Emmanuel Macron. The summit will include leaders from the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United States, and the European Union. This year’s summit was held in Canada, and the previous one in Evian, where Russia was invited for the first time. Former US President Donald Trump criticized Russia’s exclusion from the G8 and opposed new sanctions against Russia. The G7 summit brings together the world’s largest economies and focuses on global issues and trade agreements.

Political Perspectives:

Left: Left-leaning outlets tend to emphasize the importance of the G7 summit in addressing global challenges such as climate change, economic inequality, and international cooperation. They may highlight the exclusion of Russia as a stance against aggression and human rights violations, and stress the need for collective action among democratic nations.

Center: Centrist sources report the G7 summit as a key diplomatic event where major world economies discuss trade, security, and geopolitical issues. They provide balanced coverage of the participants, the agenda, and the controversies such as Russia’s exclusion and Trump’s criticisms, focusing on facts and official statements.

Right: Right-leaning media often focus on the criticism of Russia’s exclusion from the G7, sometimes echoing former President Trump’s views that excluding Russia was a mistake. They may emphasize national interests, skepticism about sanctions, and the importance of including major powers like Russia and China in global economic discussions.
