Serbia’s oil company asks for 90-day sanction delay.

The Oil Industry of Serbia (NIS) has requested a 90-day delay of sanctions from OFAC, with the support of the governments of Serbia and Hungary. The aim is to allow NIS to continue its operations while a solution for ownership structure and management is found. The Serbian government emphasizes that the sanctions would jeopardize oil supply. The Ministry of Mining and Energy highlights that the sanctions are not directed against Serbia and expects a constructive dialogue to maintain energy stability.
