Novi Beograd finally got 100 new parking spots, but is that enough to fix the traffic jams and parking chaos? The municipality finished reconstruction and building parking spaces in many places, including Gramšijeva Street and the corner with Klara Cetkin Street, as well as Arsenija Čarnojevića Street, Narodnih Heroja Street, and blocks 44, 45, 61, 64, 70, 70a, 72, plus the Bežanijska Kosa neighborhood. Over the last two years, more than 300 new parking spots were reconstructed or built. The work was done carefully to preserve trees, in cooperation with the public utility company Zelenilo Beograd. But is this enough to stop the parking chaos and traffic jams in this part of the city? Residents still feel the pressure, and the number of cars keeps growing.
