Have you heard of synchronized swimming? No? Well, it’s time to pay attention because the Novi Beograd clubs just shook things up at the Hungarian Open Championship in Budapest! Yes, you read that right – two bronze medals in fierce competition against nine clubs from Hungary, Croatia, and Bulgaria. The acro team KSP Novi Beograd snagged third place, and their swimmers – Anja Grujić (15), Ana Banović (16), Nada Čakovan (19), Tamara Paunović (13), Petra Petrović (17), Sofija Radaković (16), Stojković (16), and Petra Todić (15) – proved Serbia has a voice in the world of synchronized swimming. Coach Olja Srdanov must be proud!
But wait, there’s more! KSP 11. April, with competitors Iva Petković (17) and Marija Čmelik (18), grabbed bronze in the free duet, while in the technical solo discipline, they achieved notable results – Petković placed fifth, and Čmelik came in thirteenth.
Just imagine how much sweat, effort, and hours in the water it takes to win medals at such a tough competition! And our clubs did it! While others complain about lack of success, these young athletes prove otherwise. Bravo to Novi Beograd and their swimmers!
If you thought synchronized swimming was just for fun, think again. This is a serious sport with serious results. And if you have a funny comment or think this is too much for you, jump into the conversation – maybe these young athletes will inspire you to try something new!
