Oklahoma Wins First NBA Title: Gilgeous Alexander Shines, Topić Misses Season Due to Injury!

Oklahoma City Thunder Finally Clinches First NBA Championship! After a nail-biting seven-game series against Indiana, Oklahoma triumphed on their home court with a 4-3 victory in the NBA Finals. The Finals MVP? None other than their star guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who averaged a jaw-dropping 30.3 points, 5.8 assists, and 4.8 rebounds per game. Yes, you read that right — over 30 points per game in the Finals! He was also the regular season MVP, proving his dominance all year long.

But it wasn’t all smooth sailing for Oklahoma. Serbian basketball talent Nikola Topić missed the entire season due to a knee injury. Was this a huge blow to the team? Maybe, but clearly, they didn’t need him to snag the title.

Game 7 was a rollercoaster. Gilgeous-Alexander dropped 29 points and dished out 12 assists, while Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren added 20 and 18 points respectively. On the Indiana side, standout performances came from Bennedict Mathurin with 24 points and 13 rebounds, and Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam each scored 16 points. Unfortunately, Haliburton, one of Indiana’s best players, got injured early in the game, which hurt their chances.

The first half was a back-and-forth battle, with the lead changing hands multiple times. But Oklahoma pulled away in the third quarter, building a double-digit lead they never relinquished. And just like that, they secured their first NBA championship ring in franchise history.

This title is a massive achievement for Oklahoma and proof that hard work and talent pay off. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is now undeniably one of the league’s best players, and the big question is: who can stop him next season?

So, what do you think? Who was your pick to win the Finals? Did Topić’s injury change the game? Or was Gilgeous-Alexander just on another level? Drop your thoughts below — let’s see who really knows their NBA!
