Today, the Committee on Culture and Information in the Serbian Parliament held a session to discuss the selection of candidates for the Council of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media (REM). But surprise – the opposition didn’t show up! SNS MP Nebojša Bakarec sharply noted that opposition representatives didn’t even attend an informal meeting at the European House a few days ago, organized by the EU delegation. Three opposition parties are boycotting the Parliament’s work, and students have called for a blockade. Meanwhile, NUNS announced that 78 authorized proposers withdrew their candidates from the selection process because none of the 30 complaints were considered. Is this democracy or a show for the public? The opposition is silent, the ruling party dominates, and citizens are left confused. If you think this is normal, think again. So, what do you think about this circus? Drop a comment, maybe together we can shed light on what’s really going on in our politics!
