SNS Popularity Declines and Opposition Rises: Is Rector Đokić a Threat to Vučić?

Who would have thought that the Rector of the University of Belgrade, Vladan Đokić, could have better ratings than President Vučić himself? According to a survey by Nova Srpska Politička Misao, SNS support has dropped to a miserable 33.5%, while the “student opposition” would get a whopping 43.6%! Is this the end of SNS rule or just another political soap opera? While Vučić still controls most institutions, it’s clear that the electorate is slowly switching sides and abstention is decreasing. Rector Đokić, though previously unknown to the wider public, has become a target of regime media attacks, proving his threat to the ruling party.
