Hellish Firefights: Bresničić and Leotar Ablaze as Wind and Lightning Wreak Havoc!

Fires in the village of Bresničić near Prokuplje and on Mount Leotar near Trebinje are relentless! A brave man from Bresničić suffered burns while trying to stop the fire from engulfing his home. Firefighters from Prokuplje and Jagodina are battling a blazing inferno spreading at an incredible speed due to strong winds. Meanwhile, on Mount Leotar, the drama continues – although rain briefly extinguished the fire, a new one broke out after a lightning strike in the Tulje area near Trebinje. The terrain is extremely inaccessible, with slopes up to 45 degrees, making firefighting efforts even harder. Pilots and firefighters from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska tirelessly work, dropping thousands of liters of water from helicopters, fighting to prevent the flames from threatening homes at the mountain’s base. The situation remains critical, and local authorities urge citizens not to light fires outdoors as wildfires can quickly spiral out of control. These two fires are a harsh reminder of how merciless nature can be, and how unpredictable and dangerous the human fight against the elements is. While one man battles the flames to save his home, another part of the region looks to the sky, praying for rain and peace. Will we manage to stop these fiery beasts, or will they consume us? Jump into the conversation and tell us what you think – is it time for all of us to become firefighters, or should we just pray for rain?
