Scorching Heat in Serbia: Are We Ready for 36 Degrees and What’s Next?

Today in Serbia, the thermometer will hit up to 36 degrees Celsius, with meteorologists forecasting mostly sunny and warm weather. A light to moderate west-northwest wind will bring some relief, but not much. The lowest temperatures will range between 15 and 22 degrees, while in Belgrade it will be between 19 and 22 degrees in the morning, with a daily high around 33 degrees.

But don’t be fooled — this is just the beginning! Tuesday and Wednesday will bring variable, sultry, and unstable weather with local showers and thunderstorms. Thursday will see a noticeable drop in temperature and stronger northwest winds, while Friday will be mostly dry and moderately warm, with rain expected only in the south and east of Serbia. Saturday will be mostly sunny and warmer.

This is not just a heatwave — experts warn that due to climate change and global warming, extreme weather events are becoming more frequent. So this is not just a “hot day,” but part of a bigger picture that could lead to serious problems.

Just imagine — temperatures reaching 36 degrees, sultry weather that suffocates, and a wind that brings only slight relief. How to prepare? How to protect yourself and your loved ones? And what awaits us in the future if such weather conditions continue?

Don’t pretend it doesn’t concern you! Leave a comment, share your experience with the heat, or tell us how you cope with these hellish days. Is the air conditioner your best friend or your enemy? Let’s laugh together or wonder — where did the real climate go?

Be ready, because summer in Serbia is no longer what it used to be!
