Last night, the village of Tešica near Aleksinac became the scene of a fiery apocalypse. A low vegetation fire broke out and quickly spread, destroying two houses beyond recognition, eight pigs, and one dog. And that’s not all – one brave firefighter was injured while trying to save what could be saved.

The fire started in the center of the village and rapidly spread towards the village of Loćika and the Morava river. Locals tried to help but were powerless against the raging flames. David Dinić, one of the villagers, said the firefighters were late, and the fire had already flared up. Four villagers tried to extinguish the brush but were absolutely helpless – the fire just devoured everything in its path.
Injured Firefighter and Destroyed Homes
One firefighter was injured while fighting the densest parts of the fire. He was rushed to the hospital but is now reported to be in stable condition. Two houses burned down beyond recognition – one was empty except for a woman who was evacuated in time, and the other was home to a family who was also evacuated safely.
