Palić 2024: Europe’s Best Films Take Over Subotica!

Get ready, film lovers! From July 19 to 25, Palić and Subotica will become the hotspot for European film magic. The 32nd Palić European Film Festival is bringing the best of last year’s European cinema right to your doorstep. But wait, there’s more! The pre-festival program from July 3 to 17 is already heating things up.

Where and When? Everything happens at the Eurocinema theater on Subotica’s City Square and the beach bar at Palić. Audiences will enjoy eight carefully curated selections, including “Europe 4 Kids” for the little ones, “ABIFF,” “Žigmond Vilmoš,” “Best of Europe,” and a special homage to the Aleksandar Lifka award winners. There’s also a program of short films from Hungary and Slovenia.

For the Kids – Seven Animated Films! As part of the “Europe 4 Kids” program, from July 3 to 9, every day at 5 PM, seven animated films that premiered in 2023 will be shown. Perfect for families wanting to introduce their kids to the magical world of European cinema.

Why Does This Matter? The festival isn’t just a chance to see top-notch European films; it’s a celebration of cultural exchange and artistic dialogue between countries. Palić has been a meeting point for diverse cultures and ideas for decades, and this year, that’s more important than ever.

Don’t Miss Out! If you’re nearby, don’t miss the chance to be part of this cinematic spectacle. Remember, it’s not every day you get to watch the best European films all in one place, and in the beautiful setting of Palić and Subotica.

So, have you picked your must-watch film yet? Or maybe you have a favorite European movie you wish would show up at the festival? Drop a comment and let’s see who’s the real film buff here!
