DISASTER ON A PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE IN RUSSIA!
On July 12 and 13, a total of 12 people were admitted to the central regional hospital Nikolskaja in the Vologda region after a suspension pedestrian bridge over a river collapsed. The injured suffered bruises, hematomas, and multiple scratches. Two people remain hospitalized in stable condition, one patient was transferred to a regional trauma center, and the rest were treated at home.
The incident occurred during a religious procession in the Nikolsky district. Initially, six victims were reported, then nine, and later the number rose to twelve. The emergency commission decided on one-time payments for the injured.
This tragedy raises serious concerns about the safety of infrastructure in Russia and questions about the oversight and maintenance of public facilities. How could a bridge collapse right when it was in use? Who is responsible for this disaster?
While authorities work to address the aftermath, citizens are shocked and wonder how many more bridges and structures in the country are in similar condition. This is not just an accident but a wake-up call for urgent action and accountability.
