Petar Bočkaj Leaves Dinamo and Could Join New SuperSport HNL Club

Petar Bočkaj, an experienced left-back of Dinamo Zagreb, might leave the club and join HNK Vukovar, a new member of the SuperSport HNL. Vukovar is interested in Bočkaj, but the biggest issue is his salary, which is around half a million euros per year, making it difficult for Vukovar to afford. Dinamo’s president Zvonimir Boban has established contact with Vukovar’s management and praised their work, hoping for good cooperation. Bočkaj has played 45 matches this season in the SuperSport HNL but is not in Dinamo’s future plans. His contract with Dinamo runs until January 2025. Bočkaj started his career at Dinamo, played for Maksimir, Inter Zaprešić, Lokomotiva, and Osijek, and joined Dinamo in 2020. Last season, he was loaned to Cypriot club Pafos but did not stay there. Dinamo failed to secure him a place in the first team under coaches Sergej Jakirović and Nenad Bjelica.
