A medical transport plane crashed near a shopping center in northeast Philadelphia. The plane was carrying a sick child, the child’s mother, and four crew members, and was en route to Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri. The accident occurred shortly after departing from the Philadelphia airport. Shriners Children’s stated that the child had received care at the hospital and was supposed to be returned to Mexico. Jet Rescue Air Ambulance could not confirm if there were any survivors.
