Podgorica is burning, and the wind seems to be on fire’s side! Fires have erupted on the city outskirts near the Luča bridge, in neighborhoods Kokoti, Ćemovsko polje, and even in the municipalities of Tuzi and Zeta. Firefighters are on the scene, but strong winds and irresponsible behavior by some individuals are turning firefighting into a nightmare. Two teams of four firefighters each are battling the flames, while thick black smoke rises into the sky. Mayor Saša Mujović urges citizens to refrain from any activities that could cause or spread fires and highlights that all fires are under control thanks to the quick response of firefighters from Nikšić, Bar, and other municipalities. However, reports of intentional arson cast a shadow over the whole situation. Is this just a natural disaster or a hellish plan by irresponsible people? Firefighters are the heroes of the day, but will they have enough strength if this continues? As smoke rises and fire spreads, we ask — where is the responsibility? And as the fight against the fire continues, residents wonder how much longer they can endure this fiery torture. Got a video or story from the scene?
