Police in Podgorica Seize Glock Without Documentation, One Person Arrested

Glock Without Papers in Podgorica: Police Arrest B.M. for Illegal Firearm!

Drama with guns is back in Podgorica! Police, during a search of an apartment used by B.M. in the City kvart neighborhood, found a Glock firearm — and guess what? No paperwork whatsoever! Naturally, B.M. was immediately arrested on suspicion of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives.

But wait, there’s more! In another search, at a house used by N.S., police found 17 rounds of ammunition, again without any accompanying documentation. The ammunition was seized, and the prosecutor ordered appropriate expert examinations to determine further criminal charges.

What’s going on with weapons in Podgorica?

This isn’t an isolated case. Recently, police in Nikšić seized a starter pistol and 15 rounds of ammunition, while in Podgorica others were arrested for unauthorized drug sales and other crimes. It seems the situation with illegal weapons and ammo in Montenegro is far from under control.

Is this just the tip of the iceberg?

Police and prosecutors are doing their job, but how much illegal weapons and ammo are really out there? Will seizing a few guns and bullets stop the crime wave? We doubt it.

Conclusion

While authorities boast about arrests and weapon seizures, citizens wonder how safe they really are. Will illegal weapons ever be stopped, or will we keep seeing Glock pistols and ammo roaming the city without papers?
