Pope Leo XIV today from the Vatican urged Iran and Israel to ditch the revenge logic and choose the path of dialogue and peace after 12 bloody days of conflict that started with Israel’s strike on Iranian nuclear sites. While Iran fired ballistic missiles and drones, and Israel claimed it must stop Iran’s nuclear program, the world watched hundreds perish and a ceasefire barely hold. Iranian authorities arrested over 700 alleged Israeli mercenaries, executing three for espionage. Hundreds marched in Tehran supporting the Iranian army, while US forces reportedly only delayed Iran’s nuclear program.
