Here it is – Janko Nikolovski, the man who contributed so much to media culture theory that he had to get an award… posthumously! Yes, you read that right, the regional Dialogos award for the best book in media culture theory was handed to his family in Skopje. While others chased instant fame, Janko left an indelible mark, and his friends from Montenegro made sure his work “Poetics of Life” got the promotion it deserved. Who was there? The academic elite, media, civil society, and of course, the family proudly receiving the plaque. If you think this is just another boring academic ceremony, think again! This proves that true culture and knowledge don’t die, they get celebrated – even when the main hero is gone. Come on, comment below – who else deserves such posthumous glory, and who’s just a pale shadow in the media world?
