Early this morning around 7 AM, a fire broke out in the warehouse of the Garden Lux company in the suburban area of Mokra Njiva, Nikšić. About 30 firefighters equipped with all available gear rushed to the scene. Goran Tripković, the shift commander of the firefighting and rescue unit, stated that the fire has been localized and the spread to the sales facility was prevented. However, extinguishing the fire will take time due to the large size of the building.
In the same city, in the Rubeža neighborhood, three houses were in immediate danger from a fire that, according to commander Slavko Tadić, was deliberately set. He warned about irresponsible behavior by some individuals who ignore the ban on open burning, endangering the wider community. The police have filed a report against unknown persons.
Podgorica’s mayor, Saša Mujović, confirmed that fires in Podgorica and surrounding municipalities have been brought under control thanks to the quick response of firefighting services, including teams from Nikšić and Bar. He appealed to citizens to refrain from activities that could cause or spread fires, emphasizing that most fires are caused by human factors and intentional arson.
