Future first graders from the Neven preschool institution visited the mayor of Mionica municipality, Boban Janković. During a reception held in the assembly hall, the children talked with the mayor about their preschool days, interests, and expectations before starting first grade. In a warm atmosphere, the children presented the mayor with symbolic gifts they made themselves, and in return received appropriate gifts as a sign of attention and support. Mayor Janković emphasized that the future first graders are special guests and that their curiosity, sincerity, and imagination indicate a bright future for Mionica. The municipality plans to expand the preschool and continue renovating school facilities, as well as introduce free textbooks from September to ease the burden on parents and support education. Over the past decade, thanks to cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Serbia, several million dinars have been invested in the renovation of educational infrastructure in Mionica, including the complete renovation of primary and secondary schools and the construction of a new sports hall. Currently, works are underway on the renovation of the Milan Rakić school, and plans are in place to renovate the school in Donja Toplica.
