Welcome to the world of advanced security and defense studies, where the future guardians of our country are trained! Defense Minister Bratislav Gašić hosted a reception for the 14th class of this prestigious program at the Serbian Army House in Belgrade. But who are these people? They are not just soldiers – among the 24 participants are members of the Serbian Army, representatives of government bodies, Serbian government services, and even from Republika Srpska, the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the United Arab Emirates, and Namibia! Yes, you read that right – an international crew training in security and defense.
Minister Gašić praised their motivation and success in completing the six-month program at the Defense University, named after Voivode Radomir Putnik, a legend of Serbian military history. As a token of remembrance and recognition, the participants were presented with replicas of ceremonial daggers.
This program is no mere formality – it is a serious school for those who will make important security decisions tomorrow. While security is often talked about as an abstract concept in public, here we see concrete effort and investment in people who will protect our country and region.
Interestingly, similar programs are held for general staff training, showing how seriously Serbia takes its defense approach. And you? Did you know these elites are being trained right now, as the world changes faster than ever? If you have thoughts on this, drop a comment below – maybe you know someone who could be the next participant!
