Professor Lompar and Košare Veterans: Freedom and Respect for Fighters Under Attack!

Belgrade University and Košare veterans are back in the spotlight, but not for glory — for problems piling up! Professor Milo Lompar, a philosopher from the Faculty of Philosophy, refuses to let us forget what freedom means and why respecting fighters is crucial. He clearly states that the attitude towards Košare veterans, who defended our country, must change — and fast!

Lompar emphasizes that the university remains a pillar of free thought, a place where ideas are born and where students and professors together keep the flame of ethics alive. But what about those who truly defended freedom? Košare veteran Nenad Stanić doesn’t hide his disappointment. He says the Serbian people didn’t choose Vidovdan — Vidovdan chose the Serbian people — and veterans will stand shoulder to shoulder on the front line defending freedom and the homeland.

However, Stanić warns that the attitude towards veterans must change because some authorities have shown disrespect to those who gave their all when it was hardest. This isn’t just a story about the past — it’s about the present and future, about how we treat those who sacrificed for us.

At the protest on Slavija, which gathered around 12,000 people, students made it clear their fight against the regime is not just political but a fight for the freedom of the Serbian people outside Serbia, including Republika Srpska, Montenegro, Croatia, and North Macedonia. Tensions were high, and police intervened several times, showing just how serious the situation is.

This gathering isn’t just a protest — it’s a call for solidarity, respect for the law and constitution, where Kosovo and Metohija are an inalienable part of Serbia. Professor Lompar and Košare veterans send a clear message: freedom has two wings — internal and external — and neither can exist without the other.

If you think this is just another story about protests and veterans, think again. This is a fight for the soul of Serbia, for respect for those who defended our country, and for the future we want to build. So, what about you? Ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with them or just watch from the sidelines? Drop a comment, share your thoughts — maybe your word can change something!
