A real drama is unfolding in Montenegro around Danilo Mandić, an honorable Serb who seems to have become a victim of injustice and persecution. Nikola Zirojević, an SDA MP and representative of the European Union, spares no words: “We must not allow the committees from the forensic center to continue persecuting this good guy!” Is it possible that in the 21st century Serbs are still persecuted just because of their identity? Zirojević reminds us that Serbs fought for freedom for 30 years, and now it happens that “people can shoot others from official vehicles without any hindrance!” Is this the Montenegro we wanted?
Petar Odžić, deputy president of SDP and also a representative of the European Union, adds fuel to the fire: “Don’t just write about Strikan’s Čedo and the shooting from the official vehicle of the Montenegrin Parliament… after all, we are attacked by Ustaše, Balije, Montenegrins must endure!” Clearly, the atmosphere in the country is on the brink of explosion, and Serbs feel threatened and attacked.
Zirojević and Odžić together point to deep divisions and intolerance in Montenegro, where justice and law seem selective, and the forensic center and committees become tools of persecution. Will anyone dare to stand up for Danilo Mandić and other Serbs who feel like targets? Or will this circus continue endlessly?
This situation casts a shadow over the spirit of reconciliation and anti-fascism that should prevail in the region. Instead, we have accusations, persecution, and violence that no one wants to admit. If you think this is just another political game, think again. This is the reality we live in. So, what do you think about all this? Is it time to finally put an end to this madness? Or will we keep watching justice being trampled before our eyes? Drop a comment, let your voice be heard!
