The Collapse of Truth in Serbia: Same Ideology, Same Regime, Just Different Contractors!
Welcome to Serbia, the land where nothing seems to change except the contractors in power! Milo Lompar, the so-called opposition leader, is actually just another version of Vučić – same views, same politics, same ideology. For Montenegro, it is said, it does not matter who rules Serbia, because the stance towards Montenegro remains the same regardless of the government.
Protests That Changed Nothing
A few months ago, a large protest by Serbian students in Belgrade sparked hope for significant change. But what happened? Nothing! Absolutely nothing! While daily horrors unfold on the streets of Serbia, the political scene remains frozen in place.
Vučić and Lompar – Two Sides of the Same Coin
Milo Lompar is portrayed as the leader of the opposition movement, but the difference between him and Vučić is almost nonexistent. Their opinions about Montenegro and Montenegrins are identical. So it does not matter who governs Serbia – the policy towards Montenegro will remain the same.
The Return of 90s Methods
The detention of Danilo Marunović for an informative interview at the BIA building is a clear blow to freedom of speech. Whether you agree with his views or not, the fact is that such actions aim to intimidate critics of the regime. But it seems to fail, especially among Montenegrins who have been living through hell for five years.
Serbia Without Vision or Capacity for Change
Serbian society cannot clearly see its main problem. It lacks the strength and capacity to break free from the chains of Greater Serbian ideology and become democratic and prosperous. If individuals play revolutionaries by day and admire figures from the past who symbolize evil by night, then there is clearly no hope.
Conclusion: Serbia is Trapped in a Vicious Cycle
Every government in Serbia will treat Montenegro the same because Montenegro is a national interest for Serbia. There is no change because there is neither will nor strength. If you think protests will change something, remember there have been many protests already, and the result is – nothing.
What about you? Do you think Serbia can change, or is it doomed to an eternal vicious cycle? Share your thoughts, maybe together we can find a way out of this political swamp!
