It’s hard to stay indifferent when you see the conditions Rea, a young female dog, lived in – almost her entire life chained to a tree with an iron chain. Imagine – half a meter of space, stagnant water, and pieces of stale bread as her only meals! Her fate began to change thanks to an anonymous report and the swift action of municipal inspectors and veterinary services. The owners gave up the dog, and she became a ward of the Novogradiške Njuške association. Rea had an inguinal hernia which was successfully treated, and she was sterilized. In temporary shelter, she showed all her beauty and warmth – despite everything she went through, her spirit remained intact, full of trust and love. She loves the company of other dogs and especially adores people. Her uniqueness is highlighted by her blue tongue. She is only one year old, weighs about 10 kilograms, and is 40 centimeters tall. The association is looking for responsible people who can provide her a home without chains and closed yards. They also ask for help covering the costs of veterinary procedures.
