Renovation of the Cultural Center in Toponica

Minister of Culture Nikola Selaković and the President of the Municipality of Knić, Srećko Ilić, signed a contract co-financing the renovation of the cultural center in the village of Toponica, worth 10 million dinars, under the Ministry of Culture’s “Cities in Focus” program. The project involves a complete replacement of the roof of the cultural center, which has been the hub of the village’s cultural life for over 75 years. This investment aims to stop further deterioration of the building and preserve the cultural infrastructure for future generations. The “Cities in Focus” program received significantly increased funding this year, with over 2.38 billion dinars invested in cultural infrastructure across Serbia so far. The renovation of the cultural center in Toponica is part of a broader strategy to preserve cultural identity and community spirituality, especially in smaller communities.
