The election was contested between independent candidate Jasenka Haleuš and the incumbent mayor from SDP, Željko Filipović. After the repeat voting, Jasenka Haleuš won and became the new mayor of the municipality. The municipality is located in Zagreb County, in northwestern Moslavina.
