Policijska Brutalnost u Podgorici: Libseen Ne Miri sa Gaženjem Sloboda!
Da li je Crna Gora na putu da zaboravi šta su građanske slobode? Libseen, mreža liberala jugoistočne Evrope, ne može da ćuti dok vlasti u Podgorici brutalno guše proteste i gaze osnovna prava građana. Sinoćnji protest ispred vile Gorice, povodom dodele Trinaestojulske nagrade, pretvorio se u pravu scenu nasilja i represije.
Šta se desilo?
Demonstranti su mirno izrazili neslaganje sa dodelom državne nagrade, ali su vlasti odlučile da to pravo uguše nasiljem. Policija je koristila fizičku silu i otrovne gasove protiv građana, među kojima su bili opozicioni lideri, poslanici, umetnici, profesori i predstavnici civilnog sektora. Da li je ovo način da država koja želi u EU tretira svoje građane?
Libseen ne ćuti!
Ova mreža liberala već je obavestila ALDE savez liberala Evrope i evropske poslanike u Briselu o ovim sramotnim događajima. Libseen jasno poručuje: ovakva politika ne vodi Crnu Goru u Evropsku uniju. Napadi na protestante i političke neistomišljenike su neprihvatljivi i moraju biti hitno istraženi.
Zašto je ovo važno?
Pravo na mirno okupljanje i slobodu izražavanja su stubovi demokratije. Kada država nasilno guši proteste, šalje poruku da joj je stalo samo do vlastite moći, a ne do građana. Crna Gora, zemlja koja teži članstvu u EU, ne sme dozvoliti da joj se ovakve stvari dešavaju.
Šta sledeće?
Libseen će nastaviti da prati situaciju i pritiskati evropske institucije da reaguju. A mi? Mi treba da se zapitamo – da li želimo zemlju gde se sloboda guši ili gde se poštuju prava svih?

Libseen’s Warning: Police Violence and Civil Rights Violations in Montenegro’s Capital
Is Montenegro forgetting what civil liberties mean? Libseen, the Southeast European liberal network, is raising the alarm as Podgorica authorities brutally suppress protests and trample on basic citizen rights. Last night’s protest outside Vila Gorica, marking the awarding of the July 13th prize, turned into a scene of violence and repression.
What happened?
Protesters peacefully expressed disagreement with the state award, but the authorities chose to silence them with force. Police used physical violence and tear gas against citizens, including opposition leaders, MPs, artists, professors, and civil society representatives. Is this how a country aiming for EU membership treats its people?
Libseen speaks out!
The liberal network has already informed the ALDE Party and European parliamentarians in Brussels about these shameful events. Libseen clearly states: this policy does not lead Montenegro to the EU. Attacks on protesters and political dissenters are unacceptable and must be urgently investigated.
Why does it matter?
The right to peaceful assembly and freedom of expression are pillars of democracy. When a state violently suppresses protests, it signals it cares only about power, not its citizens. Montenegro, a country aspiring to EU membership, must not allow such things to happen.
What’s next?
Libseen will continue monitoring the situation and pressuring European institutions to act. And us? We should ask ourselves – do we want a country where freedom is crushed or one where everyone’s rights are respected?
