Russian Naval Brigade and Horrific War Crimes in Ukraine: What’s Really Going On?
Are you ready to hear what’s hiding behind the war crimes committed by one of Russia’s most hated units? The Ukrainian military intelligence service released a chilling video allegedly showing a commander of the notorious Russian naval brigade ordering the beheading of a Ukrainian soldier. Yes, you read that right – he orders to cut off the head, impale it on a stake, and throw it in the trash!
Who’s the culprit?
According to Ukrainian sources, this monstrous commander belongs to the 2nd Airborne Company of the brigade, and the order was intercepted on July 10. This brigade has been infamous for numerous war crimes and brutalities since the war began. Ukrainian forces have repeatedly carried out precise strikes on the unit’s command posts, and in one such attack on July 2 in the Kursk region, the brigade commander, Colonel Sergei Ilyin, was killed.
Who else died?
On that fateful day, during a Ukrainian HIMARS strike on the brigade’s command post in the Kursk region, reportedly 22 people died, including Major General Mikhail Gudkov, deputy commander of the Russian Navy. Russian authorities confirmed Colonel Ilyin’s death but did not disclose the cause or exact date.
Why is this brigade special?
Because of torturing and barbarically executing captured Ukrainian soldiers and civilians, this brigade has become one of Vladimir Putin’s favorites. The brigade’s flag was displayed behind Putin during his press conference in December 2022. Members of this brigade are linked to war crimes in Bucha, Irpin, and Hostomel during the early months of the Russian invasion.
Systematic killing policy?
Ukrainian prosecutors have documented at least 50 cases of executions of Ukrainian prisoners of war by Russian soldiers. The United Nations warns of a growing number of such cases, saying it points to a systematic Russian policy of killing Ukrainian captives. Half of the documented cases were recorded just this year.
What does this mean?
This is not just another war story. This is a horrifying reality of brutality and inhumanity happening right before our eyes. While the world watches, war crimes continue, and the guilty remain unpunished. Will we allow such things to be forgotten, or will we bring them to light and demand justice?
Ready to face this truth?
Share your thoughts because this isn’t a topic for silence. Who knows, maybe your word will spark a wave of change. Or at least make someone laugh who thinks war is just a number in the news.
