In just a few days, Russian air defense forces have shown they are not to be underestimated! From June 30 to July 5, the Russian military shot down a staggering 63 Ukrainian drones, delivering a serious blow to Ukraine’s drone attacks. On the night of June 30 alone, 15 drones were downed over the Kursk region and the Sea of Azov, while on July 5, the number exploded to 48 drones shot down across Russia – from the Moscow region to Yaroslavl. Among them were drones that even approached the city of Moscow itself, highlighting how tense the situation is.
These numbers aren’t just statistics – they’re a clear sign that Russian air defense is working like a well-oiled machine. Drones were shot down in Bryansk, Belgorod, Kursk, Smolensk, Orel, and other regions, showing a wide range of Ukrainian attempts to breach Russian defenses. But it seems the Russian military is ready to show who’s boss in the sky.
What’s especially interesting is that drones flew even towards Moscow city itself, causing extra alarm. However, Russian air defenses didn’t let a single one through. This is a real war of technology and strategy, where each side tries to outsmart the other, but for now, Russia holds all the strings.
Is this the end of Ukrainian drone attacks? Hard to say, but it’s clear Ukraine will have to find new ways to break through Russian defenses. For now, the Russian military can boast impressive results and continue to defend its skies with fierce determination.
Think this is the end of drones or just the start of a new phase in the conflict? Drop a comment and tell us what you think! Maybe next time the drones will be smarter, and the defense even tougher!
