Kyiv endured a hellish night! Russian attacks with drones and ballistic missiles lasted nearly ten hours, leaving behind smoke, ruins, and sadly, dead bodies. Two people lost their lives, and at least 16 were injured in this relentless terror. It all started right after midnight when an air raid alert was declared in the capital. Sirens wailed, and explosions echoed through the night. Russia launched 18 missiles, including ballistic and cruise missiles, while dozens of strike drones, like deadly Shaheds, rained down on the city.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky couldn’t stay silent – he called this a clear escalation of terror and urged faster and tougher sanctions against Russia. “We must pressure Russia to feel the consequences of its crimes!” he declared.
Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. Russian forces are amassing troops on the border, hiding thousands of soldiers and powerful air defense systems, while Ukraine burns under the onslaught of Shaheds and missiles. Buildings, kindergartens, homes – all are aflame.
This night once again showed the brutality of the conflict and how far peace in Ukraine really is. While the world watches, people in Kyiv count the dead and wounded, and sirens keep wailing.
