Russian Spies Caught in Ljubljana and Buenos Aires: Fake Passports, Fridge Full of Euros, and Putin’s Personal Backing

The Spy Soap Opera Shaking Europe!

Are you ready for a story that sounds like a spy thriller script but is real? A Russian spy couple, with children, lived a quiet life in a suburb of Ljubljana, but behind that idyll was a dangerous network of secret operations now exposed worldwide!

Fake Passports and a Fridge Full of Euros

This married couple, known as Ludwig Gisch and Maria Rosa Mayer Munjos, are actually Artem Viktorovich Dulcev and Anna Valerevna Dulceva, elite agents of the Russian SVR intelligence service. Their children attended an international school, they drove a Kia, paid taxes, and invited neighbors for barbecues – all like a popular TV series.

But beneath that facade, in their Ljubljana apartment, bundles of cash, tens of thousands of euros, were neatly stacked in the fridge! Yes, you read that right – a fridge as a safe for cash! Additionally, they had a computer with hardware enabling secure, encrypted communication with Moscow, which neither Slovenian nor American experts could crack.

Travel and Spying in Argentina

Before settling in Slovenia, they lived in Buenos Aires, where they used fake Argentine passports and spied on three mothers of children attending the same school as their kids. They traveled across Europe using Slovenia as a base for their operations, including visits to Croatia.

Argentine prosecutor Eduardo Tajano sent a report on their activities, revealing how they obtained forged documents and money. The report also named other suspects, including local helpers and Russian GRU officers.

Putin’s Personal Backing and Political Prisoner Exchange

After being caught, Russian President Vladimir Putin personally greeted them in Moscow following a political prisoner exchange, which only adds a shadow over the whole story. Apparently, these spies were so important they received a red carpet and personal attention from the Russian leader.

What Does This Mean for Europe?

This story reveals how deep and complex Russian spy networks are in Europe and South America. Using fake passports, children, art galleries, and IT companies as covers, these agents operated under the radar for years.

Is it time to take these threats seriously? Or will we keep watching fridges fill with cash while pretending not to see?

If you have your own spy story or think this is just the tip of the iceberg, feel free to drop a comment – maybe together we’ll uncover another secret!
