Well, Montenegro’s Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Social Dialogue just proved it can — and in a big way! The Administrative Inspection conducted a probe and uncovered a slew of irregularities that will be remembered for decades. Four general directors of directorates continued to perform their duties illegally, without legal basis, making decisions and issuing orders as unauthorized persons. To make matters worse, the relevant inspection failed to propose their dismissal on time, leading to their reappointment by the Government of Montenegro. The Judiciary Administration Union filed a criminal complaint over suspicions of document forgery and illegal salary payments, and the case is now before the Special State Prosecutor’s Office. Union president Nenad Rakočević warns this is just the tip of the iceberg and promises to keep releasing compromising materials.
