If you thought local TV series were boring, think again! “Shadows over the Balkans” is back with its third and final season, promising an even darker, more mysterious, and politically charged story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Director and producer Dragan Bjelogrlić spared no time or effort — filming started in May and will continue until the end of September, taking us back to the autumn of 1940, just before World War II. Inspector Tane Sajević, played by Bjelogrlić himself, is assigned a case involving mysterious ore leakage at the Hrtanj family mine, causing an ecological disaster and poisoning people. But that’s not all! After four years in prison, Stanko Pletikosić, played by Andrija Kuzmanović, is released, and the leader Tula, the mystical Marija Oršić, and her former lover Maja Davidović return to Belgrade. Even Josip Broz Tito is interested in the Rtanj mine! This season promises to weave high politics, crime, and mysticism into an exciting mystery whose outcome will affect not only Yugoslavia but the whole of Europe. The cast is impressive — alongside familiar faces like Goran Bogdan, Nenad Jezdić, Voja Brajović, and many others, new stars such as Anica Dobra, Svetlana Ceca Bojković, Miloš Biković, Milan Marić, and dozens more join the team.
