Hellish Heatwave Hits Serbia: Can We Survive 40 Degrees?

Brace yourselves, Serbia! The Republic Hydrometeorological Institute (RHMZ) has issued a red alert for a hellish heatwave pounding the country from July 4th to 9th. Temperatures will soar to a scorching 40 degrees Celsius, with most places baking at 34 to 38 degrees. Yes, you read that right — 40 degrees! And that’s not all. Dry soil and sunny weather are creating perfect conditions for wildfires to spread, meaning the fire danger is higher than ever. RHMZ warns that meteorological conditions will be extremely unfavorable, with a red weather alert already active in Pomoravlje and eastern southeastern Serbia, and an orange alert across the rest of the country. So while you’re sweating and hunting for shade, firefighters will be working overtime. Is this just another sign of climate change, or have we simply forgotten how to treat nature? Either way, it’s time to seriously ask ourselves — how will we survive this hell on earth? Got any cool survival hacks for this heat?
