Serbia and Slovenia: Employment Agreement at a Crossroads!

Ready for a job market shake-up between Serbia and Slovenia? Milica Đurđević Stamenkovski and Slovenian Ambassador Slobodan Ščarenc just met and agreed to upgrade the existing employment agreement between the two countries. But hold on, this isn’t your average handshake deal! The goal is to make the agreement more functional and based on the principle of reciprocity. That means not only Serbs can work in Slovenia, but Slovenians can also work in Serbia!

A meeting is set for the end of September to hash out all the details and modalities of the agreement’s revision. Why does this matter? Because the current agreement hasn’t been perfect and hasn’t been fully implemented. Now, they want to fix that and make it easier for both sides to find work across borders.

Imagine how this could shake up the job market! More job opportunities, better cooperation between the two countries, and of course, greater labor mobility. But will it all go smoothly? Will both sides actually stick to the new terms? Time will tell.

Meanwhile, if you’ve got thoughts on how this deal might affect you or your friends, jump into the conversation. Maybe you’ve got the secret sauce to make this work even better!
