Serbia partners with Italy on renewable energy projects.

Serbia aims to deepen its partnership with Italy in the field of renewable energy, given that Italian companies are already pioneers in building wind farms in the country. The Minister of Mining and Energy, Dubravka Đedović Handanović, emphasizes the importance of these partnerships for supply security and reducing the carbon footprint, which will be significant with the introduction of cross-border carbon emission taxation in 2026. Serbia has increased its solar and wind capacities by 83% and has a goal set for 2030.
