Chaos on Serbian Streets: Police Smash Blockades, 72 Detained!
Ready for some real drama? Last night, Serbia’s streets turned into a battlefield of chaos! The police had their hands full — a whopping 87 illegal public gatherings and traffic blockades across the country! Yes, you read that right, 87!
During the night, the Ministry of Internal Affairs checked the identities of 72 people, all of whom were taken to official premises. Out of them, 64 were detained for misdemeanors, and 8 were suspected of committing criminal offenses.
Belgrade was the epicenter with 68 blocked roads at 71 locations! Bridges and major routes are finally passable this morning, but not without a fight. Protesters blocked Zemun and New Belgrade, police removed barricades, and citizens built new ones.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t all peaceful. Sporadic incidents were reported in Zemun, Niš, Novi Sad, and Valjevo, where several people were detained for disturbing public order and committing crimes.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs once again urges citizens to refrain from illegal activities and not to block traffic, especially in ways that could endanger the safety of all road users.
This isn’t just any night in Serbia — it’s a real test of patience and law! Will things calm down, or are even tougher blockades coming? Only time will tell.
What do you think about these protests and police actions? Has the government gone too far, or have the protesters crossed the line? Drop a comment and let your voice be heard in this street madness!
