Ship Kotor Scandal: €1.4 Million Overhaul and Still Broken!

Can you believe the ship Kotor, for which the state spent a whopping €1.4 million on repairs, has been stuck in port for a week due to a series of irregularities? Of course you can! After the ship was downgraded to category D — meaning it’s in terrible shape — the board of directors of Montenegrin Shipping is getting the boot, and criminal charges have been filed against unknown parties. Was this sabotage or just another epic fail of incompetence and corruption? Even weirder, the breakdowns are happening on parts that were supposedly replaced during the overhaul! And let’s not forget, ships from the Bar Shipping company, which are better maintained, are worth way more. Oh, and did you know about 30% of the crew are Georgians, even though Montenegro has no agreement with Georgia? This is a maritime mess of epic proportions! Sound off below — who do YOU think is to blame for this shipwreck of a scandal?
