Shock in Norway: Son of Princess Mettemarit, Marius Borg Høiby (28), Accused of 23 Crimes Including Three Rapes!
Norwegian police have confirmed after a ten-month investigation that Marius Borg Høiby, son of Princess Mettemarit from a relationship before her marriage to Crown Prince Haakon, is accused of a series of serious crimes. These include three rapes, two attempted rapes, four counts of sexually offensive behavior, abuse of his ex-girlfriend, two counts of bodily harm, property damage, threats, violation of restraining orders, insulting a police officer, and five traffic offenses.
The investigation began on August 4 when Høiby was arrested on suspicion of physically assaulting his then-girlfriend. Soon after, numerous new allegations surfaced, attracting significant public and media attention. Police attorney Andreas Kruszweski stated that the case has now been forwarded to the prosecution, which will decide whether to press charges.
Particularly shocking is the case of the alleged rape of TV presenter Linni Meister (39), which reportedly took place at the royal residence during a party in the castle’s basement. Police reportedly possess video footage of the attack, and the presenter has stated she remembers nothing and only learned about the assault after being informed by authorities. Three videos and dozens of photos of attacks were found on Høiby’s laptop.
After spending time in a rehabilitation center in the United Kingdom, Høiby returned to Norway earlier this year with a new girlfriend. This scandal has caused a massive shock in the public, and the Norwegian royal family has yet to officially comment.
