Siniša Mali Claims: Belgrade Will Be the Center of the World at Expo 2027 Like Japan Today

Siniša Mali Claims: Belgrade Will Be the Center of the World at Expo 2027 Like Japan Today!

Serbia’s Finance Minister Siniša Mali is not holding back with his bombastic statements! After visiting the World Expo in Osaka, he declared that Belgrade will be the center of the world in 2027, just like Japan is today. Is this a political fairy tale or a real plan for spectacular success? Let’s break it down.

Japan Today, Belgrade Tomorrow?

Mali proudly said he had the chance to see how the biggest global event operates and that Osaka is the center of the world today. According to him, Belgrade will take that position in just two years. Already, many countries have registered to participate, and the goal is to break the record from the previous specialized expo.

Huge Investments and Big Ambitions

The minister emphasized that the Expo will be an opportunity for Serbia to showcase its potential in infrastructure, agriculture, culture, education, energy, and healthcare. An investment of 18 billion euros is planned in road infrastructure, high-speed railways, and other sectors. Mali claims this will directly improve the quality of life for Serbian citizens.

Investors and Jobs

During his visit to Japan, Mali met with over 50 investors aiming to attract even more to Serbia. He reminded that a few years ago, there were only a handful of Japanese investors in Serbia, but today about 30,000 people work in Japanese factories. Serbia’s exports to Japan have increased 20 times.

Concrete Benefits for Citizens

Mali stated that by 2027, the average salary in Serbia will be around 1,000 euros, with pensions and minimum wages also rising. He also announced lower fuel prices: diesel will cost about 200 dinars per liter, and gasoline about 220 dinars.

Is This Real or Just Political Talk?

All these numbers and plans sound like a dream for Serbia, but is it possible for Belgrade to become the center of the world in just two years? Will the 18 billion euro investments really materialize? And what about the everyday problems citizens face while waiting for the Expo?

Conclusion

Siniša Mali throws big numbers and big words. Belgrade as the center of the world at Expo 2027 sounds like a dream that could come true, but also like a big political story. Will Serbia truly seize this opportunity or will it all remain promises? Only time will tell.

What do you think? Do you believe Belgrade will truly shine like Japan at Expo 2027? Or is this just another political fairy tale? Drop a comment and let’s see who’s optimistic and who’s skeptical! :)
