Snakes on the Streets of Niš and Volunteers’ Appeal for Patience

In Niš, there has been a large number of calls from citizens in recent days regarding sightings of snakes, small birds, and injured animals. Volunteers from the Zoo Planet association appeal to citizens to be patient as the number of volunteers is small while the number of calls is large. Most of the snakes seen are non-venomous and appear in parks and green areas; no venomous snakes have been reported. The association also assists in resolving snake issues in schools and cares for injured and abandoned animals. Volunteers are overwhelmed with work and plan to hire additional staff to respond to all citizen calls.

Political Perspectives:

Left: Left-leaning outlets emphasize the community and volunteer efforts to protect wildlife and the environment, highlighting the challenges faced by small volunteer groups and the importance of public patience and cooperation.

Center: Center-leaning sources report the facts about the increased sightings of snakes and the response by local volunteer organizations, focusing on public safety and the non-venomous nature of the snakes, while encouraging calm and patience.

Right: Right-leaning media might focus on the responsibility of local authorities to manage urban wildlife and public safety, possibly criticizing the lack of sufficient official response and emphasizing the need for stronger measures to protect citizens.
