Actress Snežana Bogdanović, who has been living in America for years, arrived in Belgrade earlier this summer due to a new role in the thriller series “Okamova Oštrica,” directed by Marko Đilas. The series, created by the married couple Iva Mitrović and Marko Popović, consists of only six episodes and is set to air next year on RTS. The story centers around a well-known lawyer who defends women victims of violence. Snežana plays the role of Galina, a Russian woman who has lived in Belgrade for 30 years and owns a beauty salon. However, her character is not just a beautician — she will be drawn into events leading to dramatic decisions. Snežana emphasized that her character speaks Russian with a Russian accent, which was challenging for her since she never learned Russian, but with the help of a tutor, she mastered the language. Alongside Snežana, Russian actor Aleksej Maslodudov stars in the series, and filming continues in Slovenia. Producer Milan Stojanović welcomed journalists at the villa in Dedinje, where Galina’s home is located. This series is not just about entertainment but tackles very relevant issues, especially violence against women, which is often overlooked in our society. Snežana is working with Marko Đilas for the third time and praised the script written by Iva and Marko. “Okamova Oštrica” is expected to be one of the most intriguing domestic thrillers next year, featuring strong female characters in the spotlight.
