A 1928 lounge chair became a modern luxury symbol.

The lounge chair from 1928, created by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand, has become a symbol of contemporary luxury. Inspired by Le Corbusier’s sketches, the LC4 chaise lounge allows for transitions between different seating positions. It was first manufactured by Thonet Frères and later by Cassina, where it became part of the iMaestri collection. The design combines the industrial aesthetics of the Bauhaus with luxurious details, maintaining its appeal to a bourgeois clientele.
