Ivana sold chips and washing machines to pay film crew.

Actress Ivana Mihić recalled the difficult period of inflation in the 1990s when she worked on film production. To pay her colleagues’ fees, she sometimes had to sell goods like washing machines and chips. At a time when state production companies were failing, Ivana and her colleagues founded their own productions to save cinema. Inflation was so high that money quickly lost its value. Despite the harsh conditions, they managed to make films that won awards.
