Get ready, football fans! Niška Banja is about to become the hotspot for football action. By 2027, on nearly seven hectares of land, the Niš Football Association and the city of Niš are joining forces to build a sports complex with four football fields – two natural grass and two artificial turf.
What’s coming?
Besides the fields, plans include an administrative building, stands for spectators, floodlights for night matches, and full supporting infrastructure. Located between an existing factory and a water park, this complex will be a true sports oasis. And as the cherry on top, a private hotel is planned on the edge of the parcel, expected to be the fastest and easiest part of the project to build.
Who’s funding this sports feast?
The Football Association of Serbia has allocated around 3 million euros for this project, with the city of Niš and the association jointly investing in the fields. The president of the Niška Banja municipality, Dušan Živković, announced that construction could start as early as October once the building permit is obtained. All project documentation is already complete, so the field is ready for kickoff.
