Belgrade Traffic Nightmare: Stolen Car Chase Ends with Four Injured!
Today in Belgrade, a real traffic nightmare unfolded that could have ended much worse! A 28-year-old man, K.P., stole a car in Borča around 1:15 PM and took off running from the police. But he didn’t stop at the red light – he ran through intersections at Takovska and 27th March streets, causing a crash involving three other vehicles.
Four people injured, including two kids!
The accident left four people hurt: two adults aged 52 and 47, and two minors aged 11 and 13. All were rushed to the Emergency Center for treatment. Imagine that – kids injured because someone decided to play a dangerous game of cat and mouse with the police in a stolen car!
Police didn’t let him get away!
After the crash, K.P. tried to flee, but police officers quickly caught and arrested him. He faces serious charges: using someone else’s vehicle and endangering public traffic safety. He’s been held for 48 hours and will be brought before the First Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade.
What does this tell us?
This story is yet another reminder of how crucial it is for police to act fast and prevent further tragedies. But it also raises a big question – how is it possible for someone to steal a car and immediately start reckless driving through the city, putting innocent lives at risk? Is the system really effective enough to stop these situations?
