Chaos in Belgrade Center: Stolen Opel Corsa, Police Chase, and Serious Injuries to Children!

The streets of Belgrade turned into a movie scene of chaos when a driver of a stolen Opel Corsa caused a traffic accident right in the city center! A police chase involving at least ten vehicles ended in a crash at the corner of Takovska and 27. Marta streets. The driver, fleeing from the police, ran a red light and collided with three cars. Tragically, three people were injured, including two children aged 11 and 13, and a 47-year-old man. All were rushed to the emergency center with serious injuries.

Witnesses say the driver’s tire burst during the chase, causing him to lose control and flip the car. Over 30 police officers responded quickly at the scene, but the damage was already done. Car parts and clothing were scattered across the street, and one girl even ended up under the car!

This incident raises serious questions about road safety and the effectiveness of police chases in urban areas. Is it worth risking innocent lives for one criminal? The police have arrested the suspect, but the question remains — how many more such scenes will we see on Belgrade’s streets?

If you think this is just another news story, think again. This is a wake-up call for all of us to reflect on the state of safety and responsibility on our roads. What do you think about these chases? Heroic feats or dangerous games with lives? Drop a comment, maybe your words will spark change!
